Het hele jaar door zijn er organisaties die zogeheten ‘calls’ open zetten. Van fotografie tot architectuur. NIEUW: NEST – Call for Graduate(s) 2O2O
De kunstacademies zijn momenteel gesloten en hierdoor, ondanks al het harde werk, verloopt het landelijke afstuderen anders: de afstudeertentoonstellingen worden verplaatst of intiemer gepresenteerd. Nest wil de studenten van lichting 2020 (BA/MA autonoom) van alle kunstacademies in Nederland daarom uitnodigen om een foto van het afstudeerwerk in te sturen voor een omvangrijke tentoonstelling in de openbare ruimte van Den Haag.  Vanaf juli zijn alle poster reclameborden in Den Haag gewijd aan deze afstudeerwerken.

Koninklijke Prijs voor Vrije Schilderkunst – Open call

De Prijs is bedoeld om jonge, talentvolle in Nederland werkzame schilders aan te moedigen in hun werk als kunstenaar. De eerste jureringsronde vindt digitaal plaats. Kunstenaars tot 35 jaar kunnen werk inzenden om mee te dingen naar de Koninklijke Prijs voor Vrije Schilderkunst 2020. Drie kunstenaars worden onderscheiden door Zijne Majesteit de Koning. Met de onderscheiding ontvangen de kunstenaars elk een bedrag van 9.000 euro.  De tweede jureringsronde in juli en de uitreiking en opening van de tentoonstelling in het Koninklijk Paleis Amsterdam in het najaar zijn onder voorbehoud. Indien nodig krijgen deze een andere vorm.

Dutch Design Awards (DDA) – wedstrijd

De organisatie van DDA is op zoek naar ontwerpen die zich op meerdere vlakken onderscheiden: op de eerste plaats door relevantie en impact, maar ook door de mate waarin het zich verhoudt tot het eigen vakgebied. Van nieuwe cross-overs en samenwerkingen, tot vakmanschap en materialisatie, tot een prikkelende aanpak of aantrekkelijke vorm.  DDA kiest voor een ruime benadering van het begrip Nederlands ontwerp:
– Ontwerpen uitgevoerd door een in Nederland gevestigde ontwerper of bureau
– Ontwerpen van een in Nederland geschoolde ontwerper

Het is een vereiste dat het ontwerp is gerealiseerd, gepresenteerd of gepubliceerd in de periode tussen 1 mei 2019 en 1 mei 2020. Je werk wordt gedurende de Dutch Design Week 2O2O getoond. Voor de categorie Young Designer is er een financiële stimulans van Keep an Eye Foundation beschikbaar. De inschrijfkosten zijn komen te vervallen en de deadline is met 2 maanden naar achteren verschoven i.v.m. het coronavirus.

Dezeen Awards – wedstrijd

Ben je op zoek naar wereldwijde publiciteit? Doe dan mee aan het jaarlijkse programma van het prestigieuze online platform Dezeen.com dat de beste architectuur, interieur en design studios èn individuele ontwerpers wereldwijd beloont met het meest opvallende werk op de belangrijkste gebieden van 3D-ontwerp. De focus ligt op  projecten waarbij de sociale impact of duurzaamheid centraal staan of geïntegreerd zijn in het ontwerp.

De prijs kent maar liefst 37 categoriën om op in te schrijven en je betaalt voor deelname per categorie. De beoordelingscriteria zijn zorgvuldig gekozen om ervoor te zorgen dat winnende projecten niet alleen mooi en innovatief zijn, maar ook gebruikers en het milieu ten goede te komen.

Mondriaanfonds – Werkbijdrage Jong Talent

De Werkbijdrage Jong Talent is bedoeld voor beloftevolle beeldend kunstenaars tot uiterlijk vier jaar na hun opleiding. Deze bijdrage kan worden aangevraagd na een jaar artistieke praktijk. De bijdrage kan gebruikt worden voor alles wat verband houdt met de ontwikkeling van nieuw werk, zoals onderzoek, materiaal, apparatuur en projecten in binnen- of buitenland. Ook kan deze besteed worden aan deelname aan tentoonstellingen en manifestaties. Doel is artistieke ontwikkeling en cultureel ondernemerschap te stimuleren zodat werk tot stand komt dat een betekenisvolle bijdrage kan leveren aan de hedendaagse beeldende kunst in Nederland. Aanvragen kan op elk moment in het jaar, let op: er geldt wel een behandeltermijn van 3 maanden.

Stimuleringsfonds – Talentontwikkeling

Het Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie is er voor designers en heeft een jaarlijkse subsidie voor Talentontwikkeling.
De Deelregeling Talentontwikkeling is een subsidieregeling waarmee het Stimuleringsfonds een nieuwe generatie ontwerpers en makers – werkzaam in vormgeving, architectuur of digitale cultuur – ondersteunt bij het verder ontwikkelen en profileren van de eigen uitzonderlijke professionele begaafdheid in Nederland. Deze ontwikkeling wordt ondersteund door het versterken van het eigen cultureel ondernemerschap. – deadline 6 maart 2020 (Gesloten)

The art academies are currently closed and, despite all the hard work, national graduation is different: the graduation exhibitions are moved or presented more intimately. Nest therefore wants to invite the 2020 students (BA / MA autonomous) from all art academies in the Netherlands to submit a photo of their graduation work for an extensive exhibition in the public space of The Hague. From July, all poster billboards in The Hague are dedicated to these graduation works.

Royal Award for Modern Painting – Open call

The Prize is intended to encourage young, talented painters working in the Netherlands as artists. The first round of judging takes place digitally. Artists up to the age of 35 can submit work to compete for the Royal Award for Modern Painting 2020. Three artists are distinguished by His Majesty the King. With the award, the artists each receive an amount of 9,000 euros. The second round of judging in July and the presentation and opening of the exhibition in the Royal Palace Amsterdam in the autumn are subject to change. If necessary, they will be reshaped.

Dutch Design Awards (DDA) competition

The DDA organization is looking for designs that stand out in several areas: firstly by relevance and impact, but also by the extent to which it relates to its own field. From new crossovers and collaborations, to craftsmanship and materialization, to a stimulating approach or attractive form. DDA opts for a broad approach to the concept of Dutch design:
– Designs executed by a designer or agency based in the Netherlands
– Designing a designer trained in the Netherlands

It is a requirement that the design is realized, presented or published in the period between May 1, 2019 and May 1, 2020. Your work will be shown during Dutch Design Week 2O2O. For the Young Designer category there is a financial incentive from Keep an Eye Foundation available. The registration costs have been canceled and the deadline has been postponed by 2 months due to the coronavirus.

Dezeen Awards competition

Are you looking for worldwide publicity? Then join the annual program of the prestigious online platform Dezeen.com that rewards the best architecture, interior and design studios and individual designers worldwide with the most striking work in the most important areas of 3D design. The focus is on projects where social impact or sustainability are central or integrated in the design.

The prize has no less than 37 categories to subscribe to and you pay for participation per category. The evaluation criteria have been carefully chosen to ensure that winning projects are not only beautiful and innovative, but also benefit users and the environment.

Mondriaan Fund – Young Talent Work Contribution

The Young Talent Work Contribution is intended for promising visual artists up to four years after their training. This contribution can be requested after a year of artistic practice. The contribution can be used for anything related to the development of new work, such as research, material, equipment and projects at home or abroad. It can also be spent on participation in exhibitions and events. The aim is to stimulate artistic development and cultural entrepreneurship so that work is created that can make a meaningful contribution to contemporary visual art in the Netherlands. Applications can be made at any time of the year, please note: there is a 3-month treatment period.

Creative industries fund – Talent Development

The Creative Industries Fund NL is for designers and has an annual subsidy for Talent Development.
The Talent Development Sub-Scheme is a subsidy scheme with which the Stimulation Fund supports a new generation of designers and makers – working in design, architecture or digital culture – in the further development and profiling of their own exceptional professional gift in the Netherlands. This development is supported by strengthening one’s own cultural entrepreneurship.
